The Maiden Voyage of the Midnight Rocket

It was quite the adventure! It's much different than the Black Rocket, but the creature comforts don't compare. Arriving at the boat ramp boat (fueled, launched the night before, and plugged in), @ 4AM to a 72 degree warm dry cabin was quite the treat. But how would she handle? In the bay on the way out, with 150 gals of fuel and 5 people, 47 mph. Not bad. The wireless coms and piped in music and VHF is also quite nice..

How does it fish?

The fishing was great!

Limited out both days. No giant fish, but respectable.

The Midnight Rocket ran like a dream.

The entire back of the boat as well as the sides are covered. For the comfort, well worth it! Yeah sometimes you have to hand the rod to yourself if your fish runs, but deal with it, if you want to enjoy the ride outside without wind, spray, and sun, it's a great thing!

It was a great day and a great start for the boat! Best part is the wife (the Admiral) wants to go all the time now. This is great for any husband!!
