USIA Marine

Manufacturer of the SAV Special Action Vessel Series Watercraft and the Midnight Rocket

At USIA Marine, Innovation is more than merely a means to an end. It is our way of giving you the biggest possible advantage. And the SAV series watercraft is all about advantage.

Born from years of experience, engineering and testing, the SAV is an all aluminum, high speed, high buoyancy extreme weather craft. Highly Skilled StaffEach SAV is hand crafted to exacting specifications, drawn up using the latest in laser digital state-of-the-art design tools. The years of demanding hands-on field research and development combined with expert cutting edge computer-aided drafting technology has enabled the engineering team at USIA Marine to produce a superior level of tactical craft.

The Speed, the stability, the durability and the versitility of the SAV set it apart from other watercraft, making the SAV by far the correct choice for any waterborne military or tactical law enforcement operational need. The SAV series is a low profile tactical craft with the stablity and flotation of inflatable collared vessels, but with the low-to-no maintenance features of aluminum.

SAV I is 20 ft. 4 inches.

SAV II is 24 ft. 4inches.

SAV III is 29 feet 7 inches

All are perfect for long range missions of Port Authorities, Harbor Security, Tactical Law Enforcement operations, Deep Sea Fishing or Scuba Diving excursions. CHP SAVSAVs have seen duty as part of Florida's Domestic Security Task Forces with tactical craft operating for the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Wakulla County Sheriff's Office and the Miami-Dade Police. SAVs have also served the New Mexico State Police, the California Highway Patrol, US Army Special Forces, US Air Force Special Tactical Squadrons as well as Special Forces from Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.

Powered by Mercury Optimax outboard engines, the SAV series is one of the fastest tactical watercraft available. SAV III is equipped with twin 225 horse power engines, and has a top speed exceeding 50 miles per hour with a cruising speed of 45 while exhibiting an impressive fuel efficiency.

SAV Engineers have precisely matched the longitudinal center of gravity with the longitudinal center of bouyancy. Translation: the SAV series is one of the most stable crafts to navigate the waterways. The 17 degree, nine meter deep 'V' hull configuration of SAV III will impress even the most seasoned of boat operators with its exceptional stability on the high seas.

The collaboration of expertise and technology that went into the development of the SAV series make it a revolutionary craft. But the true test is in how the SAV performs. Boating enthusiasts immediately notice the sleek profile and feel its remarkable stability. The vessel sits low, allowing the crew quick insertioneasy access to the water, which proves useful in many circumstances, from tactical entry to rescue and even fishing or crabbing. Designed to carry personnel into and out of operations, the SAV's low profile allows for quick insertion and casting from a stable platform. The ability to easily cut through seas as high as sea state 5 gives the SAV the advantage of utilizing its power and speed to the maximum, outperforming many other watercraft.

Going hand in hand with its speed and stability, is the SAV's mission-proven dependability. Each SAV is constructed using high grade aluminum alloy, with all seams and joints MIG welded by USIA Marine's highly experienced manufacturing team.

With its rugged aluminum perimeter tube's called sponsons, SAV has the unique feature of requiring little to no maintenance and is one of the toughest, most durable crafts available.

Above all, the SAV is built for versatility. The high buoyancy craft has already been proven on missions such as offshore coastal patrol, high seas search and rescue, firefighting operations, tactical diving and boarding, drug interdiction, medical evacuation, homeland security and river patrol. The SAV can carry forces into an out of operations where the threat to these forces is considered low to medium. And with engineering options that include armor plating, weapons mounts, less-lethal water cannons, firefighting deck turrets, equipment mounts and storage compartments, the SAV can be configured to fit nearly any functional need.

The low, stout design of the SAV allows a greater flexibility of use than many other bigger, less nimble craft. It has the durability and stamina to venture out 100 miles off the coast in challenging conditions, or the speed, quickness and agility to handle narrow channels and rivers. The simple, all aluminum design makes it a reliable, low maintenance craft. The uncomplicated layout is another of its biggest advantages. Its open configuration allows for ease of movement with a large passenger capacity and gear stowage space. Plus planty of room for mission essential onboard gear including locking weapons mounts, crew comm sets, RADAR, chart plotters, depth finders, GPS, VHF, night vision and an endless list of other options. USIA Marine specializes in custom design, so the SAV can come in many different configurations or colors.

Handling the rough PacificThe Special Action Vessel by USIA Marine: Fast, stable, durable, versatile--a breakthrough in both design and function--mission proven in the service of many military and law enforcement agencies around the world, giving you the advantage to get in, get out and get the job done. The SAV advantage.
